Discover Family Fun at Aynor's 40th Annual Harvest Hoe-Down Festival
One of the region's most beloved fall festivals is approaching! The charming town of Aynor, South Carolina, hosts its 40th Annual Harvest Hoe-Down Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Aynor Town Park (600 South Main Street, Aynor). This family-oriented event offers live music all day, kids' activities, and hundreds of vendors. It kicks off with a lively parade at 10 a.m., featuring a Grand Marshal, antique tractors and cars, local bands, mascots, ROTC units, colorful floats, and plenty of candy.

Festival activities run from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with musical performances under the Town Park Shelter by the Aynor High Band and Chorus, pageant winners, school choruses, dance groups, gospel ensembles, and more. Savor classic festival eats like chicken bog, barbecue, funnel cakes, and more. With over 185 arts and crafts vendors—from wood and metalwork to jewelry and floral arrangements (as seen in 2018)—it's ideal for unique souvenirs. Kids will love pony rides, moonwalks, and slides.

A favorite among locals, this event occurs on a warm September day, so pack sunscreen and water. Sponsored by the Pilot Club of Aynor and held the third Saturday in September, it draws around 24,000 visitors to this small town, including Grand Strand residents and out-of-town guests exploring the area.
