Top 4 Things to Do on Buena Vista Street at Disneyland Resort
We’ve been cheering ever since we heard the news! The Disneyland® Resort has expanded its Downtown Disney® District into the Disney California Adventure® theme park. That’s right—you can enjoy additional outdoor dining and retail experiences within the park gates, while the theme park remains closed. From soaking up the magic of the season to stocking up on treats at the candy shop, discover these four must-do activities on Buena Vista Street.
Safety First
For the safety of guests and cast members, the Disneyland® Resort has implemented several new measures including:
- Parking at the Simba Lot only and clearly defined entrances to the Downtown Disney® District
- Temperature screenings prior to entry
- Face coverings required for visitors ages 2 and older
- Physical distancing measures, including physically distanced queues and seating, and physical barriers at select locations
- Temporary operations modifications, including reduced hours at select locations and the suspension of entertainment offerings and high-touch interactive areas
- An increased focus on cleaning and sanitation, including the addition of hand-washing stations and hand sanitizers in key areas
Soak Up Disney Magic
A treat for your senses, Buena Vista Street offers the sights, sounds, and smells of the Disneyland® Resort parks. Stroll down the street amid lanterns wrapped in garland. Catch the sweet aromas from cotton candy kiosks as you gaze upon a recreation of the 1920s Hollywood that Walt Disney experienced upon first arriving in California. 1920s glitz and glamour meet the merriest season on Buena Vista Street.
Dine Alfresco at Carthay Circle Lounge
Craving an upscale meal with Disney flair? The expansion includes an alfresco dining experience at Carthay Circle Lounge, now featuring a seasonal menu perfect for sharing. Arrive early to secure a reservation—you’ll be notified via text when it’s time to return. Pair your artisan cheese board with a handcrafted cocktail like the Carthay Old Fashioned. Share small plates such as lemon-crusted fish or soy-glazed salmon (or indulge solo—no judgment here).
