ROUTE 1: Tour du ‘Nooga
Perfect for avid explorers, this route covers downtown gems. Start at Coolidge Park, browse Frazier Avenue's shops and galleries, then grab a bike at the 200 River Street station (near Outdoor Chattanooga). Cross the iconic Walnut Street Bridge for stunning skyline views.
Left off the bridge, walk across the Ruth Holmberg Glass-Bottom Bridge. Dock at High Street & East 2nd Street station (by Rembrandt’s Coffee House) and visit the Bluff View Art District. Stroll the River Gallery Sculpture Garden and Hunter Museum of American Art.
Descend steps past the Hunter to the S-shaped walkway under Walnut Street Bridge, leading to The Passage—a poignant art installation honoring Cherokee history and the Trail of Tears.
Next, spend two hours at the Tennessee Aquarium. Refuel at Mellow Mushroom with stone-baked pizza. Catch a Chattanooga Lookouts game at AT&T Field or climb at High Point Climbing & Fitness (33,000 sq. ft.). Across the street: Creative Discovery Museum with kid-focused exhibits, cooking classes, and seasonal fun (2-3 hours).
Lunch nearby at Broad and 4th: Lupi’s Pizza Pies or Five Guys Burger and Fries. Walk to Tennessee Aquarium, then bike back from 215 Broad Street station (by Big River Grille).
