Discover Singh Meadows: Tempe's Premier Farmer's Market and Family Oasis
Escape the urban hustle at Singh Meadows, featuring a vibrant farmer's market, cozy café, coffee house, and juice bar nestled in lush green outdoor spaces. This Tempe gem offers the perfect retreat without leaving the city—ideal for family outings or casual meetups with fresh, wholesome eats.
Conveniently located at 1490 E. Weber Dr., Tempe, AZ 85281, on the north end of Tempe, it's easily accessible from anywhere in the Valley. Ample parking simplifies visits with children. Once a golf course, the expansive green acres now include play areas, serene ponds for skipping stones, cornhole games, and more. Wicker baskets stocked with colorful picnic blankets await on the patio for impromptu picnics. Yoga enthusiasts can join unique classes amid the meadows.
During my recent visit with my two young children and friends' kids (ages 18 months to 9 years), everyone found something to love. The renovated indoor space, formerly the clubhouse, welcomes with organic produce, walls of artisan breads, and local handmade goods like honey, jams, soaps, and candles. The café and juice/coffee bar beckon to the left.
I head straight for the café's sweet pastries and coffee. Choose from diverse baked goods, fresh salads, or hot pizzas for lunch. My go-to is the berry bran muffin—twice the size of standard, glazed with honey and bursting with berries. Even my 4-year-old devours it!
With breakfast in hand, we claimed picnic blankets outdoors. The kids devoured their treats, then dashed off to play while we adults chatted in the sunshine. Hours later, feeling refreshed, we departed with bags of fresh veggies and breads.
In Metro Phoenix's sprawl, few spots rival Singh Meadows for nature reconnection. Visit weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for sunlit bliss.
