Scramble in Tempe: Fluffy Omelets, Vegan Options & Local Flavors – A Breakfast Lover's Review

Breakfast is hands-down my favorite meal of the day. I cherish my tried-and-true spots but thrive on discovering new gems. Scramble, the latest addition to Tempe's vibrant dining scene, has quickly become my go-to happy place.

Located at Lakeshore Drive and Baseline Road near Majestic Phoenix Dine-in Cinemas, Scramble boasts a bright, airy interior with vibrant orange, green, and white décor. The spacious, dog-friendly patio is a bonus. Opt for quick counter ordering—no table service here—which fits perfectly for busy mornings filled with hikes, yoga, or errands.

Large menu boards by the entrance showcase all-day breakfast and lunch: omelets, scrambles, eggs Benedict, burritos, pancakes, French toast, sandwiches, salads, and wraps. Gluten-free and vegan options abound, including the Soyrizo Burrito and Portobello Wrap.

I chose the Veggie Omelette—packed with squash, sun-dried tomatoes, red onion, bell peppers, and Monterey Jack cheese—served with hash browns and toast. I'm particular about eggs (runny ones are a dealbreaker), but these were perfectly cooked and the fluffiest I've ever tasted. Crispy-topped hash browns hit the seasoning sweet spot, and the wheat toast was fresh-baked. Paired it with iced Infusion Tea, a Tempe-brewed favorite.

My daughter raved over the buttermilk chocolate chip pancakes (multigrain option available), customizable with berries, cinnamon apples, or bananas and pecans. Served with maple syrup and her choice of applewood bacon side (other options: turkey sausage, ham, yogurt parfait, and more). Nothing went to waste—it was that delicious.

My husband loved the Phoenix Omelette with spicy chorizo, green chiles, cheddar, and pico de gallo. We couldn't resist the massive cinnamon roll topped with sweet, creamy frosting—pure indulgence (blueberry citrus muffin next time). Don't miss the Cereal Killer Smoothies (Fruity Pebbles calls my name), coffee, espresso, or berry blends. I'll be back to conquer the full menu.

As a Local First Arizona member, Scramble prioritizes local ingredients, even listing their partners—a thoughtful nod to Phoenix-area businesses. The friendly staff welcomed us like family.

Its often said that the journey matters more than the destination, but for those seeking efficiency without hassle, DETOURS of Arizona delivers. This guided day trip allowed my colleagues and me to explore Antelope Canyon effortlessly from Tempe. As a lifelong Arizonan, Antelope Canyon felt like a legendary wonder rather than a local gem. DETOURS, the only Phoenix-area operator offering this tour, visits Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Lees Ferry, and Navajo Nation in one exhilarating 15-hour

Jerome, one of my top-favorite destinations, captivates with its eclectic vibe, artistic shops, and breathtaking scenery. Perched atop Cleopatra Hill at 5,200 feet between Prescott and Flagstaff, this historic mining town brims with character. Seeking a break from routine date nights, my partner Tauren and I chose Jerome for an exciting day trip—just two hours from Tempe, making it ideal for exploration. We kicked off with breakfast at Snooze A.M. Eatery, right by Arizona State University Tempe
