Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady: COVID-19 Safety Protocols and Key Features Ahead of Launch

Virgin Voyages is set for its highly anticipated debut next week with the launch of Richard Branson's innovative cruise line and its flagship ship, Scarlet Lady. A Luxurious, VIP Experience Throughout
Scarlet Lady exudes sophistication and style. With dramatic, Instagram-worthy designs, every area feels like an exclusive VIP lounge. Standouts include The Manor nightclub's mirrored starfield entrance and The Wake restaurant's premium steak and seafood, included in all fares.
Relaxation options abound, from Yellow Leaf hammocks on cabin balconies to private top-deck bungalows that invite guests to unwind.

Boarding Requirements
In addition to your outfits, bring proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (at least two weeks post-second dose). Virgin Voyages mandates vaccination for all sailors (passengers) and crew to ensure a safer environment. A pre-boarding health screening questionnaire is also required.
Free antigen testing is provided at the terminal, involving a quick nasal swab and results in under 30 minutes. Laks experienced a seamless process at the New York terminal.

Mask Policy Onboard
Masks are required at the testing site, terminal, and shuttles. Onboard, they are recommended when moving through public areas or unable to maintain physical distance. Masks are supplied in cabins and throughout the ship.
During Laks' visit, compliance was high, with masks typically removed in outdoor spaces.

Response to Positive COVID-19 Cases
If a passenger tests positive, they receive complimentary onboard medical care and are relocated to an isolated terrace cabin. Crew perform contact tracing. Virgin Voyages offers a pro-rated refund, covers land-based quarantine costs, and waives change fees for return travel.
Testing Frequency
Rapid testing occurs at every port upon reboarding. Crew are tested bi-weekly.

Itineraries and Pricing
Scarlet Lady departs Miami on October 6 for a four-night maiden voyage to Nassau and Bimini, starting at $1,300 per cabin (up to three guests). Future trips include Key West, Costa Maya, and Cozumel.
