Disney Springs Opens The Edison & Four New Italian‑Inspired Dining Destinations
The Edison is now open at Disney Springs in Orlando, along with three distinct Italian‑inspired restaurants and lounges (photo courtesy Patina Restaurant Group).
Formerly a converted power plant, The Edison now serves as an industrial‑gothic restaurant, bar, and nightlife hotspot at Disney Springs® in the Walt Disney World® Resort. Its sister venues—Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar & Restaurant, and Pizza Ponte—have also opened, offering guests a range of culinary and entertainment experiences. We had the privilege of touring these additions and are excited to share our insider look.
Important note: Some venues may have temporary changes or closures depending on the time of visit. Check the latest travel updates and the individual venue pages for current status.
The Edison at Disney Springs
Designed to feel like a repurposed power plant, The Edison blends gourmet American comfort food with craft cocktails, top‑tier entertainment, and a sleek, industrial ambiance. Nick Valenti, CEO of the Edison’s parent company, notes that the space “celebrates an era of invention and imagination in a distinct, modern way.”
During the day, diners enjoy upscale takes on classic American fare—think burgers, meatloaf, and even corn dogs—accompanied by three on‑site bars that craft signature cocktails like the City of Light (Tanqueray 10 gin, Angostura bitters, lime, sugar, cucumber soda).
At night, The Edison transforms into one of Orlando’s hottest nightspots, featuring live bands, contortionists, aerialists, dancers, and, from 10 p.m. Thursday‑Sunday, a 21+ admission policy with more risqué burlesque performances. A dress code applies: men may wear slacks, jeans, or dress shorts—no caps, sleeveless shirts, or flip‑flops.
Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante at Disney Springs
Housed in a former 1930s airline terminal, Maria & Enzo’s offers Southern‑Italian classics within a grand 50‑foot ceiling and floor‑to‑ceiling lake views. Guests are treated like passengers, receiving “flight” notifications instead of table assignments, while staff don vintage airline‑crew uniforms. The menu features Roman and Sicilian staples—pasta, aged steaks, fresh seafood—paired with over 100 wines and inventive cocktails. Weekend brunches showcase an exclusive Italian wine selection.
Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar & Restaurant at Disney Springs
Enzo’s Hideaway is a speakeasy without a password—just find the hidden entrance outside The Edison and Maria & Enzo’s. Inside, a sleek underground lounge serves Prohibition‑era and barrel‑aged cocktails such as The Peacekeeper (Monkey Shoulder scotch, pineapple, maraschino liqueur, lemon, Angostura bitters, Prosecco). A curated spirits menu—including rum, bourbon, and cognac—complements Italian‑inspired shareables like the Salumi e Formaggi platter. Guests can exit via a second tunnel that leads straight into The Edison.
Pizza Ponte at Disney Springs
Pizza Ponte is the fast‑casual finale of the Edison complex. Located beside Maria & Enzo’s, it offers a daily chef’s special “Big Roman” triangle‑cut pizza, as well as square slices in tomato, four‑cheese, mushroom, spicy salame, and porchetta. Don’t leave without trying the classic cannoli.
