Discover 50 Years of Mexican Modern Art at the Dallas Museum of Art
Dallas boasts a vast collection of art throughout the city, and the DMA is no exception. The latest exhibition, México 1900–1950: Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco, and the Avant‑Garde, runs through July 16.
Plan a visit to the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) in the heart of the Dallas Arts District to explore this stunning showcase that chronicles five decades of Mexican modern art. With nearly 200 works—including paintings, sculptures, photography, drawings, and films—the exhibition documents the country’s artistic renaissance during the first half of the 20th century. Featured artists include Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, José Clemente Orozco, Ángel Záraga, Tina Modotti, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and many others.
The display also highlights the leading figures of Mexican Modernism and the lesser‑known pioneers of that era. Rare works by female artists illustrate the evolution of modern Mexico and its cultural identity.
Enjoy the exhibition for free during DMA Family Days! From March 26 to May 14, Sundays feature a full day of fun at the museum, complete with music, art‑making stations, and guided audio tours.
This traveling exhibition marks the first—and only—US stop, so visit before it departs.
