Dallas Sports Calendar 2020: 11 Major Events You Can't Miss

Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic – Jan. 1, 2020. The 12th Annual NHL Winter Classic will take place at the Dallas Stars’ home rink for the first time. All tickets are sold out, but fans can watch the live broadcast on NBC 5 at 1 p.m.

Dr Pepper Dallas Cup – Apr. 5 – 12, 2020. Celebrating its 41st year, the Dallas Cup is the world’s most prestigious international youth soccer tournament, featuring future stars such as David Beckham, Clint Dempsey, and Chicharito. Matches are played at Cotton Bowl Stadium and MoneyGram Soccer Park.

AT&T Byron Nelson – May 7 – 10, 2020. Returning to Trinity Forest Golf Club, this Dallas stop on the PGA Tour draws top global players. Last year’s champion, Sung Kang, secured the title—watch to see who claims the trophy this year.

State Fair Classic – Sept. 24, 2020. The 95th edition of this Dallas tradition pits Grambling State University against Prairie View A&M University in an HBCU football showdown at Cotton Bowl Stadium during the State Fair of Texas.

AT&T Red River Showdown – Oct. 10, 2020. The storied rivalry between Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners, one of college football’s greatest matchups, is scheduled for a sell‑out game at Cotton Bowl Stadium—secure your ticket before it’s gone.
