Dallas Blooms 2021: America the Beautiful – 500,000 Spring Blossoms & Family Fun at the Arboretum

Wandering through the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is a treasured experience year‑round, but nothing rivals the city’s signature springtime event, Dallas Blooms. Recognized as one of the country’s premier floral festivals, it showcases 100 varieties of vibrant spring bulbs and over 500,000 blossoms in every hue imaginable. Stroll through acres of azaleas, walk beneath the pink canopy of Japanese cherry blossoms, and discover new programming each week, guaranteeing a fresh experience with every visit.

Patriotic Petals
The 2021 theme, America the Beautiful, honors the distinct beauty of the American landscape. Each festival week highlights one of six U.S. regions—New England, the Southwest, the West, the Midwest, the Mid‑Atlantic, and the South—through themed food, music, flowers, and special events. Sample regional cooking demos, taste local beers and wines, hunt for hidden treasures, and enjoy live concerts.

Picture‑Perfect Moments
Named by Southern Living as one of "The Best Places to See Stunning Spring Blooms", Dallas Blooms is the Southwest’s largest annual floral festival. With thousands of tulips, a hyacinth‑and‑daffodil photo wall, an arched topiary reading “America the Beautiful,” and a flag‑themed flower bed, the Arboretum offers endless photo opportunities for families and photographers alike.

Easter Weekend & Extras
The festival embraces Easter with face painting, a petting zoo, live bunny photos, and family‑friendly concerts throughout the weekend. Saturday and Sunday feature a special Easter brunch available only by reservation. Limited seating can be booked online at www.dallasarboretum.org/dining.

On clear days, bring a blanket, a cooler of snacks, and enjoy the sun or a concert on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage overlooking White Rock Lake. The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden invites kids to run, climb, play, and learn about the natural world amid the flowers.

Regardless of how you spend your day, Dallas Blooms remains the perfect way to celebrate spring’s arrival, its glorious weather, and its stunning blooms.

Dallas Blooms runs from February 20 to April 11. All activities—except the Easter brunch—are included with membership or admission. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.
