True Botanicals is one of the few beauty brands that I'm loyal to because of their clean ethos and their light, moisturizing face oil. This month marks the opening of their flagship store, designed by Jeremiah Brent, in San Francisco's Jackson Square. The bright and airy space sells the brand's full line, has a skincare clinic offering customizable treatments, an aromatherapy bar where you can create custom blends with a trained aromatherapist, and small-batch releases produced at the onsite lab. I'm hoping an NYC outpost is in their future; otherwise this opening may be the push I need to get myself to San Francisco. – Berit, senior editor

An ambitious revitalization project is outfitting a sleepy industrial town in Belgium with an art studio and greenhouse, a park filled with chickens, llamas, camels, and ostriches, and a research center in a former coal miner's mansion focusing on topics related to sustainable living. – Daniel, editor

Love this heartwarming story about newly resettled refugee families practicing making pies and turkeys for their first Thanksgiving dinners. – Jeralyn, editorial director

Is it just me or is Canada getting better and better? Even its money shows how humane, sensitive, and charming the country is. Their new vertical ten dollar note features civil rights activist Viola Desmond on one side and Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the first museum in the world dedicated to the topic, on the other. - Pavia, CEO

Shoutout to Messy Nessy Chic for showing love to Queens: Her international 7 train itinerary makes my mouth water. – Daniel

I can't help it, I'm already in Christmas mode. I'm starting my shopping online at the Loeffler Randall Craft Fair, a web shop featuring artists and makers that vibe with the sexy little shoe brand: funny sweatshirts, scrunchie sets, porcelain objects, a rug hooking kit. Orders include gift wrap and a pretty tote made by artist Rachael Cocker. - Jeralyn

I've long been curious about the serene and remote northern Indian region of Ladakh, and Belgian photographer Yuri Andries' Moonland series makes me want to go even more. - Pavia

If you find yourself in Glasgow, take a peak inside the Britannia Panopticon, located through a stage door down a small lane along the side of a shop. It's the oldest remaining Victorian music hall in the world. – Helene, Spotted by Locals
