Savor Gourmet Pizza and Craft Beer at The Bistro in Crying Eagle Brewery
It's a classic pairing: beer and pizza. But elevate it to gourmet pizza and exceptional craft beer, and you have a true delight. At Crying Eagle Brewery, known for its top-tier brews, creative taproom, beer garden, gift shop, and fun games like giant Jenga and Connect Four, customer experience is paramount. During American Craft Beer Week, I visited with a friend to explore their latest addition: The Bistro.
Upon entering, a cozy glowing fire and a chef wielding a pizza paddle caught my eye, promising wood-fired perfection. As a pizza enthusiast, the sight was irresistible—especially while dieting. (Live a little!)
The friendly staff patiently answered my questions, including “What's the best pizza?” I chose the special: Beer Garden Pizza. My friend preferred one with bacon—a classic choice.
While waiting, we enjoyed a beer flight showcasing a rainbow of flavors. Some brews are taproom exclusives, others distributed—visiting ensures the full seasonal lineup. I call it essential research.
The pizza arrived with an intoxicating aroma; we devoured half before photographing it. Imagine a heavenly crust, warm gooey cheese, and balanced sauce—divine perfection.
