Yellowfin Distillery Partners with McNeese State University for Geaux Pokes Vodka Edition
A note from Jamison Trouth...
Yellowfin Distillery is thrilled to announce we've perfected our original vodka and rebranded it to introduce our newest offering. We're proud to partner with McNeese State University on Yellowfin Single Estate Vodka Geaux Pokes Edition, available now in 750mL bottles and soon in 1.75L handles and 200mL flasks. Each bottle sold donates to McNeese State University—with larger contributions from direct distillery purchases.

The Geaux Pokes Edition arrives on shelves across Southwest Louisiana soon, but you can get yours starting today (Halloween) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Yellowfin Distillery, 1716 E. Burton Street, Sulphur. Batches 1 and 2 are ready! Hours extend to 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Secure the first cases direct from us—cheaper prices, plus refill and case discounts. Perfect for tailgating at the Cowboys’ final regular-season home game this Saturday.

Sporting a custom label in McNeese colors with the iconic horse-and-rider logo, the Geaux Pokes Edition is more neutral than our original Otoro vodka.
We've collaborated with McNeese to co-brand this premium product. “I’m excited to work with McNeese and expand our Yellowfin lineup. The university transformed my life and fueled my dreams, so I’m honored to give back to my alma mater and introduce the McNeese name to new audiences,” says Trouth.

Our original vodka excels sipped neat or on the rocks and mixes beautifully in sweet cocktails. The Geaux Pokes Edition matches this versatility while shining in drier drinks like vodka sodas and dirty martinis.
The Original Product, Now Rebranded
If you haven’t tried our recently perfected original vodka, it’s now Yellowfin Otoro Single Estate Vodka.

Otoro is the tuna’s most valuable cut—the fatty underbelly portion nearest the head. This raw culinary delicacy, prized above all seafood (and often land foods), melts in the mouth because its fat’s melting point is below body temperature. Iconic in bluefin tuna, larger “butterball” yellowfin tuna also yield exceptional Otoro.
For customers statewide, we’ll release a similar product across Louisiana soon.
Geaux Blue every Friday to support McNeese. Geaux Pokes!
