Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at The Crow Museum
May marks Asian Pacific American Heritage Month—a time to honor the vibrant Asian Pacific community that enriches our city. While virtual experiences have become the norm, the Crow Museum of Asian Art continues to celebrate in person and online, showcasing the depth and diversity of Asian cultures.
The Crow Museum, located in the Dallas Arts District since 2010, houses an impressive collection of works from China, Japan, India, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Its programs—ranging from exhibitions to workshops—offer immersive learning experiences that highlight the artistic and cultural heritage of these regions.
This month, the museum launches its “31 Days of Asia” series to honor Asian Pacific Heritage Month. Each day in May the museum will feature a new highlight on its website and social media, including 31 objects from its permanent collection, 31 mindfulness activities, 31 Dallas‑based Asian restaurants, and more.
Additionally, visitors can engage with the museum’s virtual programming. Every Wednesday at 12 p.m. join Crow Unscripted, a Facebook Live conversation led by Executive Director Amy Lewis Hofland and a roster of special guests who discuss contemporary issues in Asian art and culture. Daily mindful meditations, a Book Club, and a Movie Club round out the month’s offerings, featuring works by prominent Asian and Asian‑American creators.
