Santa Elena: Unearth the Pre‑Columbian Maya Legacy
This archaeological settlement has monumental buildings identified by architectural features such as masonry walls, rafters, stairs, patios, stepped platforms and a ball court. In addition to four limestone rock stelae, in which front glyphs can be seen.
As well as Pomoná, Moral Reforma, Palenque, Bonampak, Yaxchilan and Piedras Negras, Santa Elena belongs to Usumacinta basin cities.
