The original Decatur County Historical Society was founded in 1969 by a group of concerned Bainbridge citizens with a desire to preserve our history. The collection of historic memorabilia is located in a wonderful museum located at 127 East Water Street "On the Square" in downtown Bainbridge. The museum is officially open Saturdays from 10-2 but will open for tours any time. Just contact us to set it up.
