Eatonton's Old School History Museum is a blast from the past. It takes visitors back to school classrooms and hot summer days when they were kids. They will be reminded of the hustle and bustle of small-town life and the past on which the city was built.

In the first room, the vintage drugstore beckons you to hop on a stool and order an old-time malt treat. The marble-topped soda fountain, 1940s jukebox and ice cream chairs and tables complete the drugstore and leave visitors dreaming of summer days and good eats. Next is a reproduction of turn-of-the-century downtown Eatonton with store fronts. The "windows in time" feature artifacts from an old grocery store and barbershop. Next, a gallery guides visitors through early Indian culture, the transition of frontier land to cotton farms, the Civil War and Reconstruction Era and the 20th century. The final room has a classroom restored to its early 1900s condition. It boasts its original blackboard, cloakroom, and vintage desks.
