Hewell's Pottery specializes in unglazed horticultural ware - flower, strawberry pots and gardenware. Production of the garden pottery is still done by hand in a 10-wheel shop on the site where the operation relocated in 1965. Three generations of the family are involved in running the business. The raw clay is obtained within 16 miles of Gillsville, Ga.

Hewell's Pottery is the leading wholesale pottery solution for the U.S. We offer terracotta vases, planters, flower pots, yard and garden pots, bent hickory furniture, traditional pottery and terra cotta pots for your home.

Sales programs are catered to fit businesses. Our facilities are open to the retail public, as well as trade professionals, including interior and landscape designers, contractors, business owners, plant-scrapers and florists.

As a Hewell Family Tradition, we have hosted many events at our farm and pottery, including the Turning and Burning (TM) Festival, and wild game dinners. We now offer tours of both our pottery and farm for groups of thirty or more. You group can experience a mule drawn carriage ride through our farm and visit various farm animals, including our wonderful herd of registered Tarentaise Cattle.

The tour through the pottery includes demonstrations, kiln firings, and Q&A sessions with our family. Your tours can include catered meals in either a picnic or old country store setting. Tours are available Monday through Saturday (Sorry, no Sundays). We would love for you to join us at our business and farm for a fun and informative day.
