Join Mayor Driscoll for Salem s Mayor s Night Out: Family Fun & Free Parking on Oct 8

Salem residents are invited to join Mayor Driscoll for an evening of fun during the annual Mayor’s Night Out on Friday, October 8th, 2021. This event is great for the whole family as Salem businesses and the town come together to say thank you to residents by offering free parking, free museum admission, and downtown trick or treating.

Starting at 3 PM, many great museums such as The Salem Witch Museum, The Witch House, and The New England Pirate Museum will be offering free admission to Salem residents (proof of residency through photo identification required). But, that’s not all! This year Artist Row will be getting into the Halloween spirit with live music from brass band, The Velvet Dirtmunchers, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Residents are also being given the opportunity to take a free fitness class at B&S Fitness at Shetland Park and receive a $10 discount from Whole Body Health in the Witch City Mall.

Following annual tradition Mayor Driscoll is also inviting Salem children to go trick or treating with her, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at East India Square fountain on the Essex Street pedestrian mall. Trick or treat bags and masks will be provided by the Mayor and Police Chief Lucas Miller.  Free safety flasher lights will be provided by Salem law firm of Mazow, McCullough, PC, and Broad Smiles Pediatric Dentistry will be providing toothbrushes. Parents will also be able to take the perfect costume photos in front of a mural provided by The Creative Collective.

To wrap up a wonderful evening there will be a free showing of Pixar’s Coco on The Common as a part of the Salem Common Movie Night Series presented by the Creative Collective and Salem Main Streets.

Free parking is also available at Museum Place Mall Garage and the South Harbor Garage from 4 PM onward with proof of residency.
