Polaroid of the Week: Madrid's Stunning Hand-Painted Street Signs

Polaroid of the Week: Madrid s Stunning Hand-Painted Street SignsIn Madrid's historic center, we've discovered some of the most captivating street signs from our global travels. Crafted from nine or twelve hand-painted ceramic tiles, each features illustrations inspired by the street's name.

These exquisite public artworks depict majestic animals like eagles and bulls, revered historical figures such as mayors, carpenters, and nuns. The Calle del Río (Street of the River, shown above) is portrayed with a serene, winding river—a delightful detail that enchanted us during our recent visit to Madrid!
