Discover Unforgettable Summer Experiences in Salem, Massachusetts

Destination Salem recently hosted a “Summer in Salem, MA” experience for New England travel and lifestyle bloggers, and it was such a great day, we want to share it with you! Plan your own summer trip to Salem with these things to do:

Discover Unforgettable Summer Experiences in Salem, Massachusetts

Plan your trip using all of the components experienced by Turquoise & Sunshine, Eat Drink Northshore, Enjoy Travel Life, Boston USA, Creative Collective, Girlfriends Boston, Boston Date Night Guide, Wear You Are Now, Harlem Lovebirds, Rosa Diana: A New England Life & Style, City Style Scene, Vibe in Style, and Road Trip New England.

Arrive in style aboard the Salem Ferry, operated by Boston Harbor Cruises. Ride the Salem Trolley around town all day and be sure to allow time for their 1-hour narrated tour of historic Salem. Explore the galleries of America’s oldest continually operated museum, the Peabody Essex Museum, and don’t miss Yin Yu Tang, a Chinese House.

Head to Pickering Wharf for lunch at Finz Seafood and Grill (we recommend starting with the New England Clam Chowder!) and then set sail aboard Schooner FAME for a 90-minute tour of Salem Sound.

Once back on dry land, walk or hop a Salem Trolley over to The House of the Seven Gables and join Salem Food Tours for an A.M. Coffee Walk.

Visit Omen Psychic Parlor and Witchcraft Emporium for a psychic reading, and then explore the boutiques along Essex Street, Front Street, Artists’ Row, and Washington Street. Cap off your day with dinner and drinks at Opus before heading home for a good night’s sleep!

We did it all in one day, but you don’t have to. We recommend visiting Erica’s shop, HausWitch, as well as Grace & Diggs on Artists’ Row, Turtle Alley on Derby Street, and Popped! On Pickering Wharf.

Be sure to share your visit by using #SummerinSalemMA and #DestSalem.

Happy summer!
