Grand Strand Theaters Reopen Safely: Carolina Opry, Alabama Theatre, Pirates Voyage Return to Myrtle Beach

Grand Strand Theaters Are Back: Safe, Entertaining Shows Await in Myrtle Beach

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament reopened a few weeks ago, and this weekend, The Carolina Opry, Alabama Theatre, and Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show return after nearly six months. After a sunny day at the beach, cap off your Myrtle Beach vacation with a spectacular evening of live entertainment.

Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show and The Carolina Opry resume operations on Friday, September 4, with Alabama Theatre following on Saturday, September 5—perfect timing for Labor Day weekend. Expect limited seating for social distancing, required masks, and rigorous health protocols.

Calvin Gilmore, owner of The Carolina Opry, shared, “It’s not what we expected for our 35th anniversary season. We’ve missed our fans, the music, and each other. We’re ready to take the stage.” He added with a laugh, “Expect a joyful noise.” The Carolina Opry and Time Warp shows will alternate through October 26, with The Carolina Opry Christmas Special starting November 2 as planned.

Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show delivers a thrilling pirate adventure with battles on deck, in water, and aerial stunts over full-sized ships in an indoor lagoon. Enjoy acrobatics, live animals, and a four-course feast. CEO Jim Rule of World Choice Investments, LLC, stated, “We’re excited to reopen on September 4 and entertain families again. Our other locations have seen positive responses, backed by our expertise in social distancing, sanitation, and safety.”

Alabama Theatre has rescheduled its 2021 concerts and comedy nights. Visit Alabama-Theatre.com/covid19 for updates on One: The Show, featuring family-friendly comedy, dance, sing-along music, and Broadway tributes.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament welcomes guests back with health expert-guided protocols prioritizing safety. “It’s our pleasure to share modifications ensuring a safe, fun, unforgettable experience,” they note. Discover their enhanced measures via our Facebook Live castle tour.
