Background:
Born in Orlando, Florida, Nick Lutsko moved to Chattanooga at age seven due to his father’s job. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Songwriting. There, he wrote, produced, and performed music, including a writers' round at Nashville's iconic Bluebird Cafe. Lutsko has opened for national acts like Drive-By Truckers, Tea Leaf Green, and the Whigs.
In early 2014, Lutsko toured his acclaimed debut album Heart of Mold. Rooted in Americana, it features storytelling songs with surreal imagery, political themes, catchy pop melodies, and grassroots production. He performed solo across 25+ cities in 13 eastern U.S. states.
Spring 2015 brought his sophomore album Etc., shifting to an eclectic blend of funk, folk, psychedelia, indie rock, pop, and blues. Self-written, produced, and performed, it required a full band for live shows—complete with homemade puppet costumes—delivering whimsical, humorous alternative rock.
Road to Nightfall Winner 2016
Lutsko won the 2016 Road to Nightfall competition among 30+ local bands, earning a headline spot at Nightfall Music Series on June 3 at Miller Pavilion before thousands.
