Honor Veterans Day in Chattanooga: Free Concerts, Runs, Park Fees Waived & More
Honor U.S. service members this Veterans Day at the Chattanooga Symphony & Orchestra’s free Veterans Day Concert. Conducted by Kayoko Dan, the program features The Star-Spangled Banner, Calvin Custer’s American Frontier, the Armed Forces Salute, John Williams’ “Hymn to the Fallen” from Saving Private Ryan, and a cappella performances by the Lee University Singers. Open to all, the concert is on Wednesday, November 11, at 7:00 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium.
Veterans Day – Point Park Entry Fee Waived
In tribute to U.S. veterans, entrance fees are waived at all 408 national parks. This fee-free day invites individuals and families to draw inspiration from America’s national parks—our country’s best idea. The National Park Service proudly preserves patriotic icons and landscapes honoring veterans’ service.
4th Annual Veterans Day 5K Camo Run
Don your camouflage, rally your friends, and run to salute past, present, and future U.S. Armed Forces veterans. Proceeds support the Sgt. Stephens Memorial Scholarship. Join at Finley Stadium on November 14 at 9:00 a.m. Afterward, catch the UTC Student Veteran Organization’s Military Appreciation Day: tailgating at 11:00 a.m. and kickoff at 2:00 p.m. versus The Citadel.
