Chattanooga Symphony & Opera 2016/2017 Season: Full Schedule, Highlights & Subscriptions

The 2016/2017 season of the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera delivers an extraordinary lineup through the Barnett & Company Masterworks Series, featuring timeless and contemporary works—including compositions by four living composers. The Luken Holdings Pops Series captivates with Latin jazz masters the Mambo Kings, the annual Home for the Holidays and Big Band Fever! concerts, Irish fiddle virtuoso Eileen Ivers, and beloved scores from sci-fi and superhero films and shows.

The Chamber Series returns in full force with four intimate concerts, showcasing favorites by Mozart, Prokofiev, Bottesini, and Mendelssohn, plus the world premiere of local composer Doug Hedwig’s String Quintet.

Season highlights include a fully staged, two-night production of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly and the family-friendly spectacle Cirque de la Symphonie.

Subscriptions start at just $90. Purchase online at www.chattanoogasymphony.org, visit the CSO box office at 701 Broad Street, or call 423.267.8583.
