Pints & Pedals: An Epic Party Bike Tour Through Chattanooga's Vibrant Bar Scene
I've enjoyed pub crawls, spin classes, and parades separately, but combining them all was a first for me—until I joined a Pints & Pedals tour in Downtown Chattanooga.
This mobile party appealed to my friends, so I gathered a group for my debut on the 15-passenger pedal bar. Equipped with a cooler of beer (cans permitted between stops) and my playlist queued up, we set off for an unforgettable evening. The cool August night was ideal for pedaling.
We settled into the adjustable, cushioned rear seats, stowing gear on the overhead shelf with LED lights. With my red Solo cup secured in its holder, I was set. After a quick safety briefing from the driver, we connected my iPhone to the bike's sound system and began pedaling.
The Pints & Pedals team offers drink specials at select bars, but they'll head wherever you choose. Our guides recommended the popular Southside route, which we eagerly took. Key takeaways: (1) pedaling is effortless, (2) crowds adore a bar on wheels, and (3) yes, that's a subwoofer thumping.
“We've upgraded the bike for an even better party experience,” the owner shared. “It now includes app-controlled LED lights, enhanced power to avoid low-battery issues, onboard Wi-Fi, phone charging ports, and a powerful new subwoofer for superior sound.”
The stereo and light show impressed us all. Locals cheered, waved, and even danced along sidewalks. Cruising Market Street, we stopped at Urban Stack—a Chattanooga staple with options for everyone. Despite the bustle of our 15-person group, we grabbed drinks, settled the tab, and pedaled on.
Next, we navigated side streets to Chattanooga Brewing Company, freshly renovated with an outdoor beer garden. A Chattanooga Football Club match buzzed nearby, amplifying the electric atmosphere and our tour's excitement.
The inaugural Pints & Pedals tour was a bachelor party; since then, they've hosted book clubs, family reunions, and more. Renting the full bike is an option, but mingling with others adds fun—guides have witnessed instant connections leading to weekend adventures.
Our finale: Chattanooga's emerging Station Street entertainment district, home to The Terminal BrewHouse, STIR, American Draft, Backstage Bar, Regan's Place, and Westbound Bar, among others. The vibe was pure joy, with crowds treating us like rock stars blasting our favorite tunes—and we felt like it!
Pedaling back, we quizzed the owner on future enhancements.
“Karaoke will launch soon as an optional add-on. Tours now start and end at the Moxy Hotel, with Saturday Coffee Crawls at 9:30 a.m. Coming next: Pedal Nooga, a family-friendly, scenic, non-alcoholic alternative.”
We had a blast, echoed by glowing TripAdvisor reviews:
