Willamette Valley: Oregon's World-Class Wine Country Beyond Napa
Wine enthusiasts often head to Napa Valley or Sonoma County for a premier wine getaway, but just an hour south of Portland, Oregon's airport lies the Willamette Valley. This region produces award-winning Pinot Noirs, exceptional whites and rosés, and some of the world's top sparkling wines outside France's Champagne region.
Based on my extensive travels and tastings, here are 5 standout wineries and 4 must-visit spots.
Top Wineries
Argyle – Recognized by Wine Spectator’s “Top 100 Wineries of the World” in red, white, and sparkling categories, this welcoming spot in Dundee offers fabulous sparkling wines with numerous awards. Reservations recommended but not required.
