The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced the destinations for their official autumn visit to Africa, joined by their son, baby Archie. This marks the first overseas tour for the British royal couple and their newborn, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, born on May 6, 2019.

"In just a few weeks, our family will be taking its first official tour to Africa, a region of the world that over the past two decades has been a second home to me," Prince Harry shared on Instagram. "Our team has helped create a meaningful programme that we’re so excited to share with you. On a personal note, I can’t wait to introduce my wife and son to South Africa!"

Meghan and Archie will be based in South Africa, while Prince Harry will also travel solo to Angola, Malawi, and Botswana. The trip holds special significance for the couple, who fell in love while camping in Botswana—where Harry also sourced the central diamond for Meghan’s engagement ring. The visit was requested by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and follows their recent three-day trip to Morocco.
