Explore New Spring Exhibits and Events at the George W. Bush Presidential Library

Spring has arrived, and with it a fresh wave of exhibits and events at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, echoing the vibrant bluebonnets that bloom along Texas highways.

Presidential Retreats

Curious about where presidents unwind? From now until October 6 2023, Away from the White House: Presidential Retreats offers an intimate look at the private getaways of U.S. presidents since the early 1900s. Highlights include Camp David, Prairie Chapel Ranch, the LBJ Ranch, and Walker’s Point. Candid photographs and artifacts reveal the quieter side of presidential life—barbecues, hikes, and poolside chats—while underscoring that these retreats also serve as venues for critical state business. As former First Lady Nancy Reagan noted, “Presidents don’t get vacations— they just get a change of scenery.”

Native Texas Nature

Free guided tours run on weekends, featuring Texas’s state flower, the bluebonnet.
