Food + Drink: Rosa Rosa, James Beard Award-winning chef Vitaly Paley's fifth Portland restaurant, serves an eclectic breakfast and all-day menu with dishes inspired by his European summer vacations with his wife and restaurant partner, Kimberly. Influenced by the culinary traditions born out of the Ottoman and Roman empires, Paley infuses seasonal ingredients from the mountains and the sea for his house-made pastas, chickpea crepes, and a signature braised-lamb meatball with sour cherries, sumac, and shallots, plucked from the menu at Çiya Sofrası in Istanbul, where he spent hours with the restaurant's chef-owner to get the dish just right. The beautiful light-filled dining room overlooks the bustling corner of Park Avenue and Adler Street with cozy circular banquette booths and a prominent marble-top bar. A second dining space, The Back Room, hosts nightly dinners with Italian classics and can be reserved for private events.
