Discover the Inaugural Seattle Art Fair: July 30–August 2

The inaugural Seattle Art Fair is set for July 30-August 2, and is shaping up to be a great reason to visit Seattle.

Produced by Art Market Productions (the well respected company behind similar fairs in New York, San Francisco, Miami and more), and Paul Allen’s Vulcan, the fair will offer a chance to view art from top galleries, plus an extensive program of installations and special programs.

Designed to showcase the vibrant culture and diversity of the Pacific Northwest, the event will draw new and established collectors, international art patrons, and Seattle residents and visitors.

More than 60 local, national and international galleries will exhibit at CenturyLink Event Center.  Citywide happenings are also planned, including artist Jenny Heishman’s creations in Myrtle Edwards Park, artist Wendy Red Star at Volunteer Park, and a talk by artist and designer Maya Lin at Seattle Art Museum.  Exhibiting Seattle galleries include Abmeyer + Wood, G. Gibson Gallery, Greg Kucera Gallery, James Harris Gallery, Linda Hodges Gallery, Platform Gallery, Punch, Roq La Rue, SEASON, Traver Gallery, Winston Wächter Fine Art and Woodside/Braseth Gallery.

The fair opens Thursday night with a preview to benefit local arts-support organization Artist Trust, then continues Friday through Sunday. Find all the details on the Seattle Art Fair website. Also be sure to check out Satellite Seattle, for information on many more arts event scheduled throughout the city to be held in concert with the Art Fair.
