Flea Fest Returns: Discover Treasures at Burton Coliseum's Premier Biannual Flea Market
Flea Fest is back at the Burton Coliseum Complex this weekend, featuring over 300 vendors selling everything from antique automobiles to zebra-striped purses. This massive flea market is a treasure trove where surprises await around every corner.
Held biannually in spring and fall at Burton Coliseum’s Ag Barn, Flea Fest draws crowds of bargain hunters. As a vendor at last November's event, I sold antiques and garage sale finds during our downsizing efforts. My husband and I alternated shifts, allowing us to experience the event from both sides—selling and shopping—while exploring, eating, and relaxing.

Vending at Flea Fest is rewarding, though preparation-intensive. With approximately 12,000 attendees seeking unique gifts and deals, popular items sell well. Vendors enjoy camaraderie, chatting during lulls between customers.
As a shopper, you'll find an eclectic mix: handmade crafts, antiques, vintage items, spicy pickles, health products, jewelry, local honey, pepper jellies, and farmers’ market staples. Expect live animals like chickens, rabbits, and greyhounds, plus holiday decor, sports apparel, and clothing.
Repurposed goods from wine bottles, typewriter keys, pallets, and cypress knees add creativity. It's a vibrant sensory overload, enhanced by a DJ's lively music.
Vendor booths burst with color, texture, and intrigue, while food trucks serve jambalaya, gyros, gumbo, boudin, loaded fries, and popular kettle corn—filling the air with irresistible aromas.
