Pet-Friendly Dining in Lake Charles: Cooper's Top Picks - Part 2
By Cooper - The Dog with a Blog
Hey friends! Fall weather has arrived, bringing cooler temperatures perfect for longer walks, exciting adventures, and more outdoor dining with my human. Whether you're craving a quick grab-and-go lunch or a relaxed sit-down meal, Lake Charles offers numerous pet-friendly spots where pups like me are welcome. Next time your pawrent gets hungry, guide them to these fantastic eateries! (Check my previous post for additional dog-friendly options.)

Lead the way to the fun!
- Botsky’s – Gourmet hot dogs topped with creative, outlandish flavors (rest assured, everything is pup-safe and canine-free). Ideal for a speedy lunch or unwinding with a Crying Eagle craft brew after a busy day.
- Lunch in the Courtyard with Garden Path Groceries – A delightful weekly pop-up every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the courtyard of the Historic Calcasieu Marine National Bank. Enjoy Southern vegetarian dishes with global influences, like fresh salads, quiche, soups, pastas, casseroles, Buddha bowls, and more. Menus rotate weekly—check their Facebook page for the latest offerings.

Fresh and fruity delights!
- Pujo St. Café – Features a spacious, covered patio perfect for a full four-course meal or casual drinks with friends. Located in downtown Lake Charles, it serves American, Cajun, and French cuisine. Don't miss their Sunday brunch!

- Rikenjaks Brewing Company – Boasts the largest pet-friendly patio in Southwest Louisiana! Staff greeted me warmly with a fresh bowl of water. Stay well-behaved during dinner, and your human might let you enjoy the courtyard games.

Your turn, human!
