Fish Pond Lake is a pristine 45‑acre man‑made lake situated one mile west of Payne Gap off U.S. 119 in Jenkins, KY. Established in 1961 when a former mining camp valley was dammed, the lake is now the centerpiece of the 895‑acre Little Laurel Park.

Its clear waters host freshwater jellyfish, a thriving trout population, bass, catfish, and other native Kentucky species. To preserve the natural environment, petroleum‑powered boat engines are prohibited; visitors can enjoy the lake with electric motors or oars.
