Discover San José del Cabo’s Vibrant Art Walk: Top Galleries & Local Culture

A must-see when walking down the streets of the downtown of San José del Cabo are the art galleries located along calle Álvaro Obregón, such as: Galería Logan, a site dedicated to Huichol art; and Galería de Arte Contemporáneo Pez Gordo, a classic art gallery that exhibits contemporary paintings and pictures that reflect the artistic talent of the region.

 

Due to the proximity between its galleries, this area is also known as Art Walk, which also opens its doors to restaurants and bars where visitors take a break to recover their energy. Walk through its narrow streets and experience the sophisticated atmosphere that vibrates in the area.

 

It is worth noting that from November to June the traditional Paseo del Arte (Art Walk) takes place where studios and galleries open their doors until 9pm offering visitors some free snacks and drinks. The atmosphere is festive and it is possible to enjoy live music.

 

In many of these galleries it is possible to meet the artists and talk to them to get a direct idea of the meaning of their work.
