A new distillery has come to Clayton. Call for a guided tour Monday through Friday. from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Jim Harris, owner will be glad to give you a personal tour of his facility along with a tasting of their offerings.

Established in late 2012, Moonrise Distillery is located in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian mountains as you enter the City of Clayton in Rabun County, Georgia. This location was chosen for its rich moonshining history and to compliment the local area by providing jobs, promoting local history and tourism trade to people traveling through this area.

At Moonrise Distillery, we produce high quality Whiskey, Bourbon and fruit Brandies, with all ingredients coming from local farmers and sources. By following this concept it is our goal to make a positive impact on the local economy.

We currently custom manufacture small batch products for other distilleries as well as barrel age and store our own products. We operate a tasting room and offer plant tours.
