Airlines Issue Travel Advisories and Fee Waivers After Hurricane Patricia Landfall
Hurricane Patricia, one of the most intense storms in recent history, made landfall on Mexico's Pacific Coast on Friday and has since weakened to a tropical depression.
Initial reports from Saturday indicate minimal damage in Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán. Mexico's Tourism Secretary, Enrique de la Madrid, described the outcome as an “extraordinary stroke of luck.”
In response, numerous airlines serving Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán have issued travel advisories, with many waiving change fees or providing refunds for affected flights.
