Discover New Hampshire's Best Corn Mazes This Autumn
It’s autumn in New Hampshire, which means it’s time to pull out the flannels, plan out an apple picking adventure, and get lost in a corn maze. As a treasured tradition in the state, farmers all across New Hampshire go all out when it comes to designing these intricate labyrinths. So corral the crew and head to one of this year’s uniquely elaborate mazes.
Beech Hill Farm, Hopkinton

This year marks the 23rd year Beech Hill Farm in Hopkinton will welcome visitors to their corn mazes. Similar to years past, there will be two mazes to explore at the farm. The 8-acre field is split into two separate mazes with plenty of space for social distancing while still enjoying this fun fall tradition. Learn about the history of Beech Hill Farm in the “250th Anniversary” maze, or find out who stole the weather vane off the top of the big red barn in the “Clue-Dunnit?” maze. Within each maze is a scavenger hunt. If visitors complete each clue, it takes about 40 minutes or so to navigate out. Tickets are $6 per person, kids under 3 are free. Mazes are open everyday from 12-dusk. Stop by the ice cream barn to purchase tickets.
Coppal House Farm, Lee

Head to Coppal House Farm in Lee where adventure awaits in their red fox themed corn maze. This year will be the 18th year the team has carved out a field of fun. Look for trivia clues hidden throughout the maze, answer correctly to help determine which path you should take. On average visitors, weave their way through in about 45 minutes or so. The maze opens September 4, and throughout the fall season will be open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm; weekends from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. The farm will be holding flashlight night mazes, when you use a flashlight to find your way. Tickets for those nights must be bought online in advance.
Riverview Farm, Plainfield

Visitors to Riverview Farm in Plainfield will once again be treated to a story as they wander the fields of corn here. Every fall for at least a dozen years, the farm’s corn maze has been turned into a work of art by a local artist, and this year is no exception. This year you’ll see some returning characters from last year as well as some new ghostly faces! The maze is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm through the end of October.
Scamman Farm, Stratham

The corn mazes at Scamman Farm in Stratham cater to all age groups. Check out the free mini maze that’s about a half acre in size for little ones (and anxious adults). Those seeking a more challenging experience can try the larger maze that’s typically shaped into a geometric pattern. There are 11 posts hidden throughout the maze with riddles, answer them all to be entered into a raffle. The maze is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm; weekends from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Flashlight mazes are held the last 4 Fridays in October (9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th), enjoy hot apple cider and a bonfire too!
Sherman Farm, East Conway

The cornfield at Sherman Farm in East Conway is ready and waiting for you to explore. The theme for this year’s maze: Grow Your Community, Support Local. This will be the 15th consecutive year the team at Sherman Farm has carried on this fall tradition. With all its twists and turns the maze spans about 10 acres and on average it takes visitors between 45 minutes to an hour to complete. This season visitors are encourage to buy their tickets online to guarantee admission as walk-ins will be limited. Also, corn boxes and hayrides will be closed for this season. The maze will be open weekends from September 19th through October 25th from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.
