What Type of Traveler Are You? Discover Your Travel Style
Planning our next adventure with Scott has us reflecting on our travel personalities and what truly makes us feel at ease during a trip.
For this early November getaway, we're heading to a serene island in Panama for 8 days of uninterrupted surfing on uncrowded waves—or at least until exhaustion sets in. It sounds idyllic, provided the waves cooperate.
After poring over countless reviews, some warned that without surf, the island might feel limited beyond beach time. I couldn't fathom boredom amid stunning shores, snorkeling gear, swimwear, and a cold beer—until Scott pointed out our typical travel habits.
Our go-to trips pack in maximum experiences, often in minimal time. We return home more exhausted than refreshed, but armed with lifelong memories and overflowing photo cards.
Like our daily lives, we squeeze every drop from travel, leading to burnout. No regrets, but we're learning to prioritize rest.
Post-Yellowstone, we've committed to true 'vacations': one or two trips yearly focused on lounging, dining out, and self-care.
It challenges our instincts to document and explore every corner, but we're determined to embrace relaxation.
What about you? Are you a poolside martini sipper who unwinds effortlessly, or does sitting still test your limits after a few hours?
