12 Breathtaking Havasu Falls Photos from Our Personal Adventure
Discovering photos of Havasu Falls online left us speechless—this paradise is just a 7-8 hour drive from home. My partner Scott and I had long dreamed of Croatia's Plitvice Lakes, but Havasu Falls matched its beauty and offered the thrill of swimming in those vibrant blue-green waters.
We couldn't resist planning a trip.
To avoid extreme heat, we timed our visit for milder weather, making the 10-mile round-trip hike to the Havasupai Reservation campground far more enjoyable. We also aligned it with a nearly full moon for a potential nighttime trek to the falls. Though fierce rainstorms dashed that plan, catching glimpses of the moon piercing the clouds added a magical touch.
Three days flew by, barely scratching the surface of the area's stunning waterfalls. We're already plotting our return.
