Discovering Western Sweden: Our Volvo Adventure in Gothenburg and the Archipelago

We've been enchanted by stories of Sweden from our close friend who grew up there. His captivating tales of stunning waterways, vibrant city nightlife, delectable cuisine, and unique experiences have ignited our passion for this Nordic gem.

Our friend's influence has broadened our horizons, introducing us to Swedish culture alongside culinary delights like fish sauce. His enthusiasm has fueled our eagerness to explore Sweden firsthand.

Recently, we were invited by West Sweden and Volvo to join their 'Gothenburg and West Sweden in a Volvo' campaign. We're thrilled to embark on this journey in mid-June, driving a brand-new Volvo through Western Sweden.

Our itinerary includes cruising Gothenburg, hiking scenic trails, joining a midsummer celebration, immersing in Swedish lifestyle, and discovering Marstrand.

Gothenburg Canals & Archipelago

Gothenburg's canals, distinct from Venice's yet equally mesmerizing, promise stunning architecture and mirror-like reflections ideal for photography. We'll also unwind at the renowned Upper House Spa.

 

West Sweden

Island-hopping is a must for us. Despite a personal aversion to deep waters, West Sweden's archipelago, stretching toward Norway, beckons with fresh seafood, guided hikes, and iconic red coastal houses perfect for photos.
