Ultimate 6-Day Bachelorette Itinerary: Dominican Republic's Northern Coast
Experience the Dominican Republic's Northern Coast through this curated 6-day bachelorette itinerary, crafted from my recent trip with six girlfriends, hosted by the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism. A returning favorite since my 2017 press trip—detailed here—this destination captivates with pristine beaches, exquisite cuisine, vibrant culture, and welcoming locals. Perfect for couples, families, weddings, or epic bachelorette celebrations, here's your professional guide to an unforgettable adventure.
Essential Trip Tips
- Rent a car for flexibility.
- Exchange currency for Dominican pesos on arrival—ATMs are available at airports and banks.
- Avoid tap water; opt for bottled.
- Visit the Northern Coast from February to October for optimal weather.
Days 1-2: Samana
Three-hour drive from Santo Domingo airport.
Where to Stay:
Bannister Hotel, a 5-star boutique gem with an infinity pool and 28 stylish suites offering breathtaking views. Our group enjoyed two nights here, including the luxurious penthouse suite for the bride-to-be.

Must-Do Activities:
- Explore Samana's charming locales and the iconic Samana bridge.
- Private beach excursion via Dominican Tree House Village to Playa Frontón and Playa El Valle—secluded paradise beaches. Boat ride: 20-30 minutes; pack towels and waterproof bags.
- Day trip to El Limón Waterfall (experienced on my 2017 visit—highly recommended).
Day 3: Cabarete
Two-hour drive from Samana.
