Brookgreen Gardens' Nights of a Thousand Candles: Expanded Holiday Magic in Myrtle Beach

One of the Myrtle Beach area's most beloved holiday displays returns bigger and brighter this year.

Due to overwhelming demand, Brookgreen Gardens has expanded Nights of a Thousand Candles to nine enchanting evenings: December 5-7, 12-14, and 19-21.

From 3 to 10 p.m. each night, the gardens illuminate with the soft glow of over 5,500 hand-lit candles and thousands of sparkling lights, creating a magical holiday wonderland.

Imagine strolling the illuminated paths with a warm cup of cider, surrounded by festive splendor—the perfect holiday outing.

To enhance your experience, Brookgreen Gardens recommends:

  • Carpool with family and friends to ease parking.
  • Visit on Thursday evenings to avoid weekend crowds.
  • Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes for the outdoor paths.
  • Limited strollers for adults and children are available free on a first-come, first-served basis.
