Saturday, November 16, 2019

25th Annual Tree Lighting at Broadway at the Beach
6 to 9 p.m.
Held in Center Court, this festive kickoff features live performances by Legends in Concert, Carolina Freestyle Cloggers, and more. Hosted by Meteorologist Ed Piotrowski with Santa Claus, the tree lighting culminates in fireworks at 8 p.m.

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, the 25th Annual Tree Lighting at Broadway at the Beach has been rescheduled for Friday, November 22.

Lighting of the Landing
2 to 8 p.m.
Activities start at 2 p.m. in Barefoot Landing's Dockside Village, with the tree lighting at 6 p.m. followed by fireworks at 7 p.m. Enjoy holiday mail for troops, face painting, stilt walkers, and balloon art from 2-5 p.m. Hosted by Ed Piotrowski, featuring The Alabama Theatre, Shelley Sasser, Academy of Dance and Fine Arts, Chris Elswick, and more. Santa arrives post-lighting through 8 p.m.

Annual Tree Lighting at The Market Common
6 to 8 p.m.
Gather in front of Grand 14 Movie Theater for live entertainment and family fun, including a trackless train on Deville Street, balloon artists, carnival games, and inflatables on Reed Street. Highlights: Nutcracker scenes by Coastal Dance Center, Carolina Music Chorale, brass jazz ensemble, and Lakewood Steel Band. Santa arrives by sleigh to light the tree, with photos and free carriage rides until 9 p.m.

A Hallmark-worthy event in front of Town Hall on Main Street, with live music and faux snow from rooftops. Shops stay open late for holiday shopping.
