Join nationally renowned speakers, authors, historians, park rangers, and reenactors for commemorative events marking the 150th anniversary of the Battles of Chattanooga. Experience Civil War medical demonstrations, artillery and cannon firings, telegraph and signaling demos, engineering programs, and more—some on the exact historic dates.

Guided walking tours by Park Historian Jim Ogden bring the battlefields to life. Watch reenactors ascend Lookout Mountain in the Battle Above the Clouds. The weekend begins Friday evening with a talk by Dr. Earl Hess, acclaimed history professor at Lincoln Memorial University, at McCallie’s Walker Theatre.

On Saturday and Sunday, author Brad Quinlen signs books from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Eastern National Bookstore opposite Point Park. Events span key sites like Point Park, Missionary Ridge, Orchard Knob, Smith Hill/Bald Hill, Cravens House, and beyond.
