NBC Sports Grill & Brew: A Premier Sports‑Themed Dining Experience at Universal CityWalk

NBC Sports Grill & Brew now open at Universal CityWalk in Orlando.

Universal Orlando Resort has just added another star to its dining lineup. Despite launching eight new venues last year, the park’s “year of dining and entertainment” continues with a roster of upscale restaurants, celebrity‑named eateries, and James Beard Award nominees.

Leveraging its historic legacy—broadcasting the first televised World Series—NBC Sports brings the energy of today’s sports world to the first-ever NBC Sports Grill & Brew. The concept feels less like a standard sports bar and more like a luxury suite in your favorite stadium.

The grand opening took place on the evening of Oct. 22, with sportscasters Bob Costas, Cris Collinsworth, Hines Ward and Michele Tafoya leading a celebration that included dignitaries, guests and media.

"Orlando is the perfect setting for NBC Sports because visitors come for theme parks and entertainment, often with families who naturally love sports," Costas said. "This is the greatest area in the world, and we’re proud to be here."

Collinsworth added, "People come from all over to experience this wonderful, happy place. We’re thrilled to bring NBC Sports to Orlando."

Whether you’re taking a break between Wizarding World of Harry Potter adventures or enjoying a night out with friends, NBC Sports Grill & Brew offers it all: massive HD televisions, a diverse menu, an indoor‑outdoor beer garden with CityWalk views, and private dining options. The opening‑night hosts even wore blue blazers straight from NBC’s 30 Rock.

Like a top‑tier NFL stadium, the restaurant focuses on the essentials: excellent food and a premium atmosphere. The menu boasts more than 75 items, ranging from filet mignon and grilled shrimp skewers to fresh salads and fire‑grilled chicken wings. For dessert lovers, the seven‑layer “Big Banana Cake” is a show‑stopper.

Beer enthusiasts will appreciate that the restaurant features over 100 unique brews, from craft to regional selections.

"NBC Sports is the best name in sports, and we’ve elevated the experience by pairing top‑quality food with a comprehensive beer selection," said Modesto Alcala, Vice President of Universal CityWalk.

Architecturally, the two‑story venue wraps around a striking installation of large‑screen televisions—mirroring the look of a professional arena’s center court. An open kitchen with custom fire grills serves as the backdrop, while nearly 100 HD screens deliver live and in‑depth sports coverage for every seat.
