Jimmy Fallon‑Hosted Ride Opens at Universal Studios Florida

Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon has opened at Universal Studios Florida, bringing a fresh, high‑energy attraction to the park.

Instead of waiting for the late‑night broadcast, guests can now immerse themselves in the show’s world all day. The new attraction, co‑created by Jimmy Fallon, launches with a ribbon‑cutting ceremony that featured Fallon, co‑host Steve Higgins, the Legendary Roots Crew, Hashtag the Panda, the Ragtime Gals, and the duo from the “Ew!” sketch.

Race Through New York is the first Universal Studios Florida ride to utilize the resort’s Virtual Line system, letting guests enjoy other park areas while “virtually” wait for their assigned time. Below are key tips to help you navigate the interactive queue and make the most of the experience.

Pre‑Show Countdown

After reserving a time slot via the app, you receive a colored Peacock Card at the main entrance. The card determines your ride window. Listen for the NBC chime and watch the logos change; when your color lights up, it’s time to board.

Memorabilia Hall

This first pre‑show zone showcases the history of The Tonight Show. From vintage camera gear and 1954 television sets to the state‑of‑the‑art studio used today, the exhibit offers a deep dive into the show’s legacy.

Studio B Experience

Ascending to the second level, guests encounter three themed activities. The area mimics Studio 6B, where the show is filmed. Interactive desks allow you to send a personalized “Thank You” note—pre‑written by Fallon to a friend, while Fallon‑themed games and charging stations add convenience.

Ragtime Gals Performance

In Studio B, the Ragtime Gals blend hip‑hop beats with a barbershop quartet arrangement. Their lively performance cues guests to move to the stage area for a closer look.

Hashtag the Panda Encounter

The beloved mascot, Hashtag the Panda, energizes the queue. Visitors may also capture a selfie with the panda for a memorable souvenir.

The Ride – It’s Go Time!

When your Peacock Card color is lit, head to the third floor to pick up 3‑D goggles and board the virtual flying machine. As a member of the Tonight Show audience, you’ll race alongside Jimmy through a stylized New York, soaring over the city, briefly visiting the moon, and returning to win the trophy. The ride is packed with intricate details, ensuring a fresh experience on every run.
