Orlando Celebrates 68 Million Visitors with Guinness World Record #OrlandosBIGThankYou Campaign

Visit Orlando and the broader tourism community express heartfelt gratitude to the 68 million visitors who made Orlando their destination in 2016.

In 2016, Visit Orlando announced a landmark milestone—68 million visitors—celebrating the city’s enduring appeal. To honor this achievement, the tourism community launched the #OrlandosBIGThankYou campaign, sending handwritten thank‑you cards to every visitor.

“Orlando’s visitation figures reflect the emotional bonds forged with millions worldwide. Their affection continually inspires us, prompting a year‑long campaign centered on the simple yet powerful words: thank you,” said George Aguel, President and CEO of Visit Orlando.

The initiative debuted with a record‑setting achievement: a Guinness World Records™ title for collecting the most handwritten thank‑you cards in a 24‑hour period.
