Hop On! Central Florida Brew Tours – Explore Orlando’s Craft Breweries
Discover Orlando’s vibrant microbrewery scene in comfort and style with Hop On! Central Florida Brew Tours.
As an avid beer enthusiast, I didn’t need a hard sell to try Hop On! Central Florida Brew Tours. Their hop‑on bus ferries guests along the Central Florida Ale Trail, stopping at hand‑crafted breweries for tastings and behind‑the‑scenes tours. It’s a unique experience every beer lover should have when visiting the city.
My personal preference leans toward dark, rich styles, so I started with the Breakfast Stout—an indulgent, coffee‑infused beer that’s actually brewed outside Orlando. The local tap selections received rave reviews from my group, while the Breakfast Stout added a satisfying twist.
One of the tour’s highlights is the opportunity to explore each brewery’s equipment up close. At Broken Cauldron, for example, the crew was eager to explain their brewing process and share the artistry behind every pint.
Ten10 Brewing Company – Orlando
Ten10 Brewing Company, located in the Ivanhoe Village district, is a favorite of mine—just a 10‑minute walk from my home. It’s renowned for its inventive beers and leadership in the growler and crowler movement, and it’s a staple on the East Orlando leg of the tour.
A growler is a reusable bottle that can be filled on site, enjoyed at home, and refilled later. Crowlers are similar but come in recyclable, non‑reusable cans.
I sampled two standout brews. First, the Peddler’s Nut Wrench—a peanut‑butter cider that tasted like dipping a Granny‑Smith apple in peanut butter. Second, Black Gold, a silky white stout that left me eager to purchase crowlers on my return visit.
Deadly Sins Brewing – Winter Park
The tour’s final stop was Deadly Sins Brewing in Winter Park, about 15 minutes north of downtown Orlando. The brewery later rebranded as Something’s Brewing before closing its doors in 2020. Their all‑organic approach and award‑winning beers remain fondly remembered.
I sampled two of their offerings. The Guilty Monk, a Belgian quad‑style brew, offered a smooth, slightly nutty finish. The evening closed with The Orlando Phil, a kellerbier inspired by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra—an unmistakably local finale that had me planning a return.
