ICON Orlando Rebrands as The Wheel, Unveiling New Attractions at ICON Park®

ICON Orlando has officially become The Wheel, and the surrounding ICON Orlando 360 complex has been renamed ICON Park®.

One of Orlando’s most iconic sights, the 400‑foot observation wheel, now proudly carries the name The Wheel. The entire entertainment hub has been refreshed as ICON Park®, featuring new dining, retail and entertainment options that cater to both first‑time and repeat visitors.

Important note: Depending on the time of your visit, some attractions may be temporarily altered or closed. For the latest updates on healthy travel and which experiences are open, check with each venue directly.

New Features at ICON Park

The building that houses ticket lines for The Wheel, Madame Tussauds Orlando, and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium has been renamed The Wheelhouse. In addition, ICON Park now hosts a food hall and will welcome two new restaurants by summer 2019: Ox Grill, offering contemporary steaks, pastas and international dishes, and Mikado, a revolving sushi and hot‑pot concept.

"Our focus is on creating new, unique experiences that will make ICON Park even more enjoyable for first‑time and returning guests," says Chris Jaskiewicz, CEO of ICON Park.

The Wheelhouse Market food hall sits near the ticket queues and serves globally inspired fare—think andouille sausage with bangers and mash, giant Bavarian pretzels, healthy acai bowls, made‑to‑order pizza and pasta, Latin‑inspired dishes, and desserts, with craft beer selections arriving soon.

More Ways to Play at ICON Park

Beyond The Wheel, ICON Park boasts several must‑see attractions. Visit Justice League: A Call for Heroes at Madame Tussauds Orlando, where you can explore authentic replicas of props and costumes from the 2017 film featuring Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck and Jason Momoa.

For an even higher perspective, take a ride on the Orlando StarFlyer. The 450‑foot swing ride lifts you to 425 feet, making it the tallest attraction of its kind worldwide, with speeds up to 60 mph.

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium invites you to encounter marine life up close, from sharks and stingrays to sea turtles and more.

Other attractions include 7D Dark Ride Adventure and In the Game ICON Park, all complemented by a full range of dining and retail options.

  • Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Earth s Vital Energy Pathways

North America’s continental or Great Divide has an almost magical significance. Invisible and unmarked, it meanders at altitude for hundreds and hundreds of miles. Fall to one side of it and, if you are a raindrop, your journey will end in the Atlantic Ocean. Fall even fractionally on the other and the Pacific will be where you merge back into the ever-shifting seas. If you are a cyclist on a road-bike in the Rocky Mountains, the great divide switches between a place that gifts nigh on unbeli

We had gone up to Le Tour glacier to climb Aiguille Du Chardonnet, a beautiful 3824m peak above the village of Argentiere. We had been thinking about the Mignot spur as our route. However a couple of serac collapses and avalanches on the north face during the night changed our minds. Forbes arête, a ridge traverse, seemed like a better idea. We were climbing unroped in the interest of speed. A decision quickly reversed after the first technical section when Merak began a traverse and the snow

  • Surviving the Kazakh Desert: One Traveler s Fight for Survival

Wake up. You’ve just got to stay awake. These were the words echoing in the depths of my mind as I drifted in and out of consciousness, lying in the desert sands of an abandoned railway tunnel. Do not sleep – whatever happens do not close your eyes. I was lost, alone and out of water in the wastelands of Kazakhstan. A week spent camping in the docklands of Baku City, trying to hitch a lift across the Caspian Sea on a local cargo boat, had left me exhausted. I woke each night to the sounds o
